CAREER

Lluís C. Pericó was born in Barcelona on the 6th of February 1958.

He has exhibited his work since 1978. His first solo exhibition took place in 1982
Between 1980 and 1983 he studied fine arts at EINA, art and design university school in Barcelona, wich granted him a special scholarship. He traveled around Italy, Greece and the Provence. In 1983 he obtained a grant as an emerging artist from the Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalan Government).
He took part and was prized in several painting and drawing contests, amongst them the Joan Miró International Drawing Prize.
Since 1981 he stays and journeys often in the island of Menorca.

From 1987 until 1992 he lived in a small coastal catalan village and did several journeys to England and Wales. At the end of 1992 he moved to London where he lived and worked until 1996, when he moved back to Barcelona.
From 2004 until 2009 he exhibited periodically and had his work in permanence at the Galeria Maragall in Barcelona.

His work can be found in private spanish collections in Barcelona, Tarragona, Madrid, Majorca, Minorca and Granada and also in Paris, Versailles, Reims (France), London (U.K.), Nüremberg (Germany), Timisoara (Rumania), San Francisco, Palo Alto (U.S.A.), Mexico D.F. (Mexico) and in the public collections of the Museum of contemporary art of Barcelona (MACBA), the Town Hall of Montcada i Reixach, the EINA Foundation and the Colegio de España in the Cité Internationale Universitaire, Paris XIV.

Since the end of 2009 he lives in Boulogne-Billancourt, close to Paris, and has his studio in Versailles.

He is an associated member of the Fondation Taylor in Paris, of the Société Versaillaise d'Artistes d'Île-de-France, of the Société des Beaux-Arts de Boulogne-Billancourt and of the Association des ateliers d'artistes de Versailles.
